The A.I. McDermott Company announced at their 62nd Annual Dealer Meeting February 13, 2007, that 'Pump Points' earned through their 'Team McDermott' Apparel & Gift Program can now be converted to dollars for investment in EdVest, Wisconsin's official 529 College Savings Plan.
McDermott customers earn 'Pump Points' for purchasing McDermott private-label water system pumps, McDermott PT2000 water system pressure tanks, Grundfos SQ and SQE submersible water system pumps, Myers and Goulds wastewater pumps and A.O. Smith water heaters.
Currently, 'Pump Points' earned can be redeemed for 'Team McDermott' apparel and gifts including work coats, jackets, sweatshirts, shirts, luggage and sporting goods. Now 'Pump Point' balances can be converted to cash at the rate of $2.00 for each 'Pump Point' for investment in EdVest.
Customers interested in the EdVest option must first open an EdVest account with a minimum deposit of $250.00. EdVest accounts are managed by Wells Fargo Funds Management, LLC and offer a wide array of choices for investment. EdVest investment earnings grow federal and Wisconsin state tax-free when used for qualified withdrawals which include tuition for approved 2 and 4 year colleges, room and board and books.
