At their August 18th meeting, McDermott and Lyon Pump sales personnel received 'hands-on' training on Pentair's new Pentek Intellidrive variable frequency drive (VFD) control for submersible well pumps.
Bill Genaw, Pentair Product Manager, and Jeff Riley, Pentair Senior Sales Representative, joined the McDermott team at their Oshkosh headquarters with a fully operational Intellidrive display and went through the sizing, programming and start up steps for the latest variable frequency drive from Pentair Water.
The impressive Intellidrive display module was unveiled at the 2009 South Atlantic Well Drillers Jubilee in Myrtle Beach the first week in August and was shipped directly to McDermott's from the show.
The Pentek Intellidrive will operate single phase three (3) wire submersible pump motors from 1/2 HP through 2 HP and three phase three (3) wire submersible pump motors from 1/2 HP through 3 HP. The Intellidrive features a spacious wiring area, removable terminal blocks and easy to use keypad and easy to read LCD display screen.
The Intellidrive also offers 'best in class' EMI/RFI filtering – resulting in a significant performance improvement over competing submersible pump VFD's. (EMI = electromagnetic interference; RFI = radio frequency interference.)
The Pentek Intellidrive can be installed on new water systems or easily retro-fitted on existing 1/2 through 2 HP three (3) wire single phase pump installations and 1/2 through 3 HP three phase installations.
