The A.I. McDermott Co., Inc. has expanded its large submersible pump motor offering by adding Grundfos' proven MS6000 6" submersible motor line.

In 2007 the company's McDermott Pump and Lyon Pump locations partnered with Grundfos Pumps to serve as Grundfos' authorized large 4" submersible motor distributor for Wisconsin, Upper Michigan and Northern Illinois.

Because of the tremendous success of the Grundfos 4" motor, today that partnership has been extended to include Grundfos' premier line of 6" submersible pump motors, the MS6000 Series!

Like the Grundfos MS4000, the MS6000 Series submersible pump motor is the result of over thirty years of research and development by Grundfos. 

The Grundfos MS6000 submersible motors come with a NEMA standard mounting head and use a heavy duty 4400 lb Mitchell type thrust bearing with carbon pads coupled with a ceramic thrust runner.  The motor's mechanical seal made of ceramic and tungsten carbide protect the motor from sand damage.  Grundfos' unique internal water circulation system enhances motor cooling and corrosion resistance is ensured with the motor's AISI 304 stainless steel construction.

McDermott is stocking the MS6000 motors in 7-1/2, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30 and 40 HP models in 230 and 460 volt, three phase configurations.

With the addition of the Grundfos 6" motor inventory we will be able to immediately supply needed motors to the commercial, municipal, irrigation and farm markets - whether it's a new job or a replacement!
